The Games for Film contest is a great opportunity for UK games developers toaccess funding for the development of new prototype applications and servicesthat use games technology in partnership with the film industry. IC tomorrow andcontest partners the University of Abertay Dundee and D-Media, in association withLionsgate UK and the BFI (British Film Institute), created the Games for Film contestto give developers a chance to partner with filmmakers in new and innovative ways.The contest is offering three awards of up to £25,000 and is funded by AbertayUniversity’s Prototype Fund.
The final event will include pitches from up to nine finalists who will bepresenting to the BFI and Lionsgate under three challenge areas.
The Games for Film final event will take place at GameCity 7 on Friday 26 Octoberat 13:30. It's a unique opportunity for contest finalists to showcase their ideas to thejudging panel during one of Europe’s biggest videogame culture festivals.
