Sumo Digital - the developer from up the road in Sheffield - are hosting a pub quiz!
Having worked with Sega for over 9 years on various titles from Outrun, to Virtua Tennis, through to the All-Star series, the staff at Sumo Digital know arguably more about Sega than Sega themselves (and believe me, they argue about it J). Additionally, thanks to the huge swathe of real ale pubs in Sheffield, they also know quite a bit about drinking*.
With these two facts in mind, there was only one logical choice for doing something at GameCity, and that was a pub quiz based around Sega and their history. They’ll feature classic Sega music, obscure characters and games, and they’ll definitely have a round with some actual games playing to test out your skill too! We’ll be throwing in some general games knowledge too, so there’ll be ample opportunity for people who don’t remember Doki Doki Penguin Land to prove their games skill & knowledge too...
Hosted by Joe Neate, alongside some other members of the development team, this promises to be the perfect warm-up for the end of festival party!”
